WHO'S WHO

To name but just a few!

Introducing............  and their cars

Chris & Michelle

Hi there, Chris & Michelle here, we live at Frecheville Sheffield in the S12 area. Bought my mk1 back in January 2007, it's my first mx, actually it's a eunos (the import version), not regretted it for one minute.

I've always been interested in cars & motoring but I wasn't prepared for the effect my little eunos would have, it's absolutely fantastic, a real drivers car with the added bonus of having the biggest selection of after market accessories available for styling or performance I have ever come across for any car. This has the knock on effect that you are very unlikely to see two mx's both the same, how refreshing !!!

I thought things couldn't get any better then hey! I discovered the owners club. We all meet up most Sundays for a trot around the countryside and a coffee somewhere along the way, what a buzz to drive in convoy with other mx owners then a stop for a chat whether it be about the cars or the weather, they're a great bunch of people who are just waiting for you to come & join in.

Jill and Alan

Hi Jill and Alan here we live in Totley Sheffield which is ideally situated for some great runs in the Peak Park. We like to go out for a run on a nice evening and stop off somewhere for a drink or a meal. Top of our list is to meet up with the lovely people we have met though the MX5 club on the various runs throughout the year. Last year we even got to Austria with the club it was a great experience.

I now have a MK2 but three years ago I was bitten by the MX5 bug (trying to regain my youth I think). I started off with a MK1 which was fantastic and I was very sorry to see it go, we may see it one day on one of trips to Scotland as that is where it ended up, one beautiful part of the country to another.

See you on the road ...

Jenny and Bryn

I would like to introduce my wife Jenny and myself Bryn. We live just outside Unstone Derbyshire. The roadster bug has really bitten us both with Jenny driving an MGF and me with my MX5. Both cars are used daily and are our only cars, although I would like a Lotus like Bills as well! I have a quite a background in cars having built both Lotus Seven and Cobra replicas in the past. In my younger days I even had a Hartwell Rally prepared Sunbeam Imp Sport before moving on to a Sunbeam Stiletto but alas both these cars lives ended in tragedy.

Jenny and I like to get out and about in the cars as often as possible and to join in on the weekly Roadster Run when we can and join in with the rest of the great MX5 gang………

See you on the road and give us a wave!

Emily and Ian

Hello, we are Emily Sanderson (age 14) and her dad, Ian (a little older). We bought our Silver1993 1.6 Eunos Roadster in January this year (2007). We are lucky enough to live in the peak district with mum, Ruth, and older sister, Alice. We previously had a Triumph Herald 13/60 convertible, but it had become impractical to do the 46 mile round trip to work on a regular basis. So we decided to go for a more modern (only 13 years old) alternative.

Ian’s love of open top motoring started in 1980 when he bought a 17-year-old MGB roadster. This was followed by a Herald based kit car and the herald convertible, with some sensible cars in between. We were members of the Derwent Valley area of the Triumph Sports Six Club and regularly attended the monthly meetings and did several runs including the “Peak Run” weekend in June 2006.

We now attend the monthly meetings of the Peaks and Pennines area of the MX5 OC. We have been made most welcome by the existing members and look forward to making a contribution in the future. We have joined a couple of the main monthly Sunday runs which have been excellent as they combined some good cross country driving with interesting places to visit as the end point. We also attended the Spring Rally at Beamish, along with other PP members. This was an excellent weekend and if this is indicative of MX5 OC events we would heartily recommend anyone to give them a go.

We have included a few photos, which give a flavour of the daily commute to work. This route is always a pleasure to drive on, even more so in the Eunos. We are looking forward to many more fun miles with our new friends.

Bill

Hi, I'm Bill from Brittany (BZH) and I live in Sheffield (UK). I'm a biomedical engineer and have owned an "Eunos Roadster"  for 2 years (since I moved to the UK). Nowadays, I drive a British sport car... That's a long story (can still speak around a pint ). The family has got another roadster in Brittany: Triumph Spitfire Mk3 from 1968.

Even if I don't own a mx5 now I'm still at Mx5 clubs (UK & France) as I like the spirit members developed around it.

See you on the Road...
